AH! 300
The AH! 300 is the largest midrange AH! horn. Designed for the family of large format drivers mentioned above, this is also the most versatile of all the AH! horn products, able to couple to the earliest and finest field coil theater drivers like Western Electric 555 and RCA 1428B, as well as Large format drivers like the JBL 2240 JBL 2447 JBL 2441, and TAD 4001 TAD 4002 Tad 4003 drivers It is the only horn of its kind being made today.
The AH! 300 comprises an aluminum throat with stepped openings to accommodate any driver with an exit from 5/8” to over two inches. Into this throat are fitted 12 solid wood petals.
You specify which driver you wish to use, and we provide the correct adapter plate for your driver, the throat and the wooden horn.
In this conical design you will find no standing waves from parallel surfaces, and there is no resonance from cheap lightweight materials like plastic or fiberglass.
The AH!300 is currently employed in the Cogent True to Life Loudspeaker field coil system and represents the ultimate midbass horn made today. Unlike other supposed “High End” products made from veneered MDF, plywood or Corian, the AH! 300 is the real deal - solid aluminum casting, machined aluminum and solid high quality hardwood.
Available in Maple birch or Cherry solid hardwood, and a combination of exotic hardwood accents. Prices vary as to choice of wood. Each horn is made of a cast aluminum ally throat, and hand made, hand planed hardwood. Made by a master craftsman in furniture design.
We also can supply B&C and RCF loudspeaker drivers. Ultra clear voice, deep low frequency cur-off, and lacquered finish make this horn finest in its class.
